PITTSBURGH, PA (07/28/2010)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike has constructed a twin structure, 2,350 ft long, 120 ft high bridge as part of $566 million mainline improvements between the Ohio line and New Stanton. Much of the original Allegheny River Bridge was demolished on July 13, 2010. A second blast will bring down the remaining steel portions of the structure.
