Statement by Congressional Candidate Lee Zeldin

PATCHOGUE, NY (09/10/2008)(readMedia)-- Lee Zeldin, Republican and Conservative Party candidate for U.S. Congress today issued the following statement in response to Senator Barack Obama's inappropriate, negative comment, "Lipstick on a Pig, Still a Pig," regarding GOP Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin:

I'm deeply troubled by the hypocritical, misogynistic name-calling regarding Governor Palin coming from Barack Obama and the liberal wing of the Democratic Party. I sincerely hope that my opponent, Tim Bishop--a member of America's most liberal ticket--publicly condemns this underhanded attack by Barack Obama.
