Statement from IOGA of NY Executive Director Brad Gill Regarding the State's SGEIS - Natural Gas Exploration

LAKEVIEW, NY (09/30/2009)(readMedia)-- IOGA of New York has begun a review of the SGEIS and remains optimistic that the state DEC has found a balance that continues to protect New York's environment and allows responsible exploration for natural gas in the Marcellus Shale," said Brad Gill, IOGA of NY executive director. "Oil and gas producers have an outstanding record of environmental and operational safety in New York. A regulatory structure that is tough but fair will allow this state to realize this tremendous economic opportunity."
