Stephen Cameron of Newington, Connecticut Was Named NECC Rookie of the Week

CHICOPEE, MA (01/27/2010)(readMedia)-- Elms College freshman outside hitter Stephen Cameron of Newington, Connecticut was named the New England Collegiate Conference's (NECC) men's volleyball rookie of the week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Cameron downed a team-best 32 kills through the Blazers' first seven matches of the season including 10 against NECC rival Southern Vermont College in the final game of Elms' opening weekend tri-match on Jan. 16. Cameron also contributed 42 digs during the week. This is Cameron's first NECC accolade of the season.
