Streator National Guard unit trains for future operations

CAMP ATTERBURY, IND. (06/10/2014)(readMedia)-- Summertime for many National Guard Soldiers means a two-week annual training period to keep their Army skills sharp. Several units in Illinois are training at Camp Atterbury, Indiana this month as they prepare for future deployment opportunities.

Company A, 405th Brigade Support Battalion in Streator, Illinois is conducting realistic training to enhance Soldier skills and build the cohesive teamwork.

Capt. Michael Hart of Naperville, Illinois, commander of the Streator unit, spent nearly four months planning the annual training exercise to expose his troops to real world scenarios.
