Lara Struckman, a senior public health student, recently passed the Certified Health Education Specialist exam and will receive the CHES credential upon graduation. The competency-based exam, administered by The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, measures the application and interpretation of knowledge in seven topic areas pertinent to health education specialists. Lara is the first Cedar Crest student to sit for the exam since the Health Sciences Department aligned the public health curriculum to meet eligibility requirements for the exam.
