Students Win Local Baking Competition

Five students on the SUNY Delhi Pastry Arts Gingerbread Team won the 2019 Destination Oneonta Gingerbread Jubilee competition in December 2019 in Oneonta, NY. The team placed first out of 11 entries in the adult group category. The design for the cookie masterpiece was themed after the 1955 Disney movie, Lady and the Tramp.

Team members Jessica Biller, Dyani Woodson, Shaelie McClenon, Emma Ryther, and Sydney Diaz worked on the house for almost two months, getting together several times a week to draw the design, bake and build the gingerbread structure, and decorate the intricate details of the baby blue Victorian era movie house.
