ALBANY, NY (04/25/2014)(readMedia)-- The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) today advised motorists that pothole patching will occur this month on Interstate 684 between Exit 3 N/S (NY Route 22) and Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road) in Westchester County. Work will occur between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day from Monday, April 28 to Friday, May 30. One or two lanes will be closed at a time as the patching maintenance crew works along the road.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license. It is imperative that motorists remember to drive carefully through this construction zone, for their own safety and the safety of workers.
