TU names Jess Chouteau Outstanding Seniors

TU Outstanding Senior John Lepine

TULSA, OK (10/03/2012)(readMedia)-- The University of Tulsa will present 10 students with the Jess Chouteau Outstanding Senior award during the university's 2012 Homecoming celebration, Oct. 18-21, on the TU campus.

The Jess Chouteau Outstanding Senior honor is granted to TU seniors who demonstrate exceptional achievement in both academic and service endeavors. No more than 10 seniors receive the award each year.

Requirements for the award include completion of 90 credit hours, at least 30 of which must be completed at TU; a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and involvement in campus and off-campus activities.

The TU 2012 Jess Chouteau Outstanding Seniors are: Claire Atkinson, Andrew S. Brooks, Audrey M. Buxton, Jennifer Daer, Taber J. Hunt, John Lepine, Sara Lewis, Rick Shipley, Shaliah DeNise Thierry and Jake Turner.

Below is biographical information for the Senior from your area:

John Lepine is the son of TU alumni Bob (BS '78) and Mary Ann Lepine (BSN '77) of Little Rock, Ark. An economics major, John is a member of the TU Student Association, The Collegian newspaper staff, Reformed University Fellowship and the President's Honor Roll. He is a past counselor and summer activity leader for New Life Ranch, a Christian camp based in Colcord, Okla. After graduation, John hopes to teach high school economics, history and English and eventually work in education administration and policy.
