CAZENOVIA, NY (04/08/2011)(readMedia)-- The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall will host exhibitions of work by seniors in its Art and Design Program. Taren M. Roberts of Athol, Mass., is a senior who will receive a bachelor of fine arts degree in interior design, with a minor in studio arts specializing in photography, upon graduation.
Roberts will be part of the group exhibition called "Minors" scheduled for April 19 - 24, with an artists' reception on April 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall, 6 Sullivan St., is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia. Hours during the academic year are: Monday through Thursday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Friday, 1-4 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Summer hours vary.
Roberts chose to display some of her original photographs rather than interior design renderings to reflect the work created to support her minor in studio art. Roberts says of her work, "Photography allows one to push the limits of vision. Through my work I can shed light on the beauty of everyday life that goes unnoticed. There is something about being behind the lens that compels my eyes to truly see."
