Software firm COINS sponsors event to raise money for COINS Foundation
LATHAM, NY (07/01/2009)(readMedia)-- Construction firms will compete alongside other teams from their own industry to hike three mountains in Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York within 24 hours. The COINS 3 Peaks Challenge is sponsored by international construction software firm COINS. With an office in Albany, New York and headquarters in London, COINS has a corporate philosophy that includes charitable works across the globe.
Beginning on Saturday, September 19th, 4-person teams will be given 24 hours to scale Whiteface Mountain, Mt. Monadnock, and Mt. Mansfield. The team completing the Challenge in the least amount of time is the winner. Experienced on-mountain guides provided by Grand Dynamics will help make this Challenge an inspirational team building event in combination with beautiful scenery and physical demands. The event will be capped off by a celebratory dinner and reception held on Sunday, September 20th.

This year, the Foundation will support the following projects with funds raised by the Challenge:
- In Schenectady, New York, the COINS Foundation is partnering with organizations to address the needs of those living in poverty.
- In the city of Albany, New York's South End, the COINS Foundation is sponsoring construction of decent homes to give low-income working families the opportunity to purchase a home.
- In Kawama, Zambia, the COINS Foundation aims to coordinate over the next ten years a wide range of programs which will address the fundamental needs of the people in the areas of health, social care, education, sanitation, and community development.
