Software firm COINS leads 7 companies to raise $30,000 for Habitat for Humanity

LATHAM, NY (10/10/2008)(readMedia)-- Seven international firms, from as far away as Texas and the UK, raced 17 miles in war canoes down Lake George in upstate New York to help raise $30,000 for Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, September 27. The Construction Industry Challenge event was sponsored by international construction software firm COINS. With an office in Albany, New York and headquarters in London, COINS has a corporate philosophy that includes charitable works across the globe.
A total of six large war canoes, filled with up to eight team members each, paddled down historic Lake George in less than four hours in this charity event. The companies participating in the event included CCC Group of San Antonio, TX; Capital District Habitat for Humanity; COINS USA; COINS UK; CURE International; Einhorn Yaffee Prescott Architecture & Engineering of Albany, NY; and LCS&Z LLP of Latham, NY.
