The Business Council examines how natural gas is changing business at Syracuse seminar
SYRACUSE, NY (10/24/2013)(readMedia)-- The Business Council of New York State will investigate what has been called the "natural gas revolution" at a seminar in Syracuse on Tuesday October 29.
The use of natural gas to power offices, manufacturing facilities and vehicles is changing the face of how business is done in New York state," said Heather C. Briccetti, president and CEO of The Business Council. "The focus of this seminar is the supply and economic projections for natural gas and how it will impact business in New York in the future."
Participants in the seminar, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in East Syracuse, will discuss industries currently using natural gas and how the benefits are impacting the bottom line and improving air quality.
Participants include:
- Randy Wolkin, president of the Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY), will discuss how the manufacturing sector is using natural gas today.
- Barry Carr, coordinator of Clean Communities of Central New York, will discuss natural gas as a vehicle fuel.
- Chris Carrick, director of energy management program of Central New York Planning and Regional Development Board, will provide information on funding opportunities for natural gas conversion projects.
Vendors will also be present, giving attendees the opportunity to learn more about products and services available to help make the transition to natural gas.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The seminar begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 10:30 a.m.
