The Business Council names Cutting-Miller Vice President of Membership

ALBANY, NY (11/05/2010)(readMedia)-- The Business Council of New York State, Inc. has appointed Richard Cutting-Miller to the position of Vice President of Membership.
"Richard Cutting-Miller brings a wealth of experience in trade association management that will be an asset in continuing the growth of The Business Council's membership," said Kenneth Adams, president and CEO of The Business Council. "We are very pleased to have Richard join the team."
Cutting-Miller joins The Business Council after several years of leading a tourism services company, TourismROI LLC. Prior to TourismROI LLC, he spent sixteen years in progressive roles at the World Travel & Tourism Council, an international organization of travel industry executives promoting travel and tourism worldwide.
As Executive Vice President at the World Travel & Tourism Council, he managed membership services, public and government affairs and economic and policy research for a global coalition of 100 international CEOs from all sectors of the travel and tourism industry.
At The Business Council, he will be responsible for membership development.
"I've admired the work of Kenneth Adams and the Business Council of New York State for many years and am particularly excited to contribute my international experience to an organization with such an important mission for New York State. As the new Vice President of Membership, my objective is to help businesses around the state realize the opportunity that joining forces with the Business Council can bring to their business, their employees and their community," said Cutting-Miller.
Cutting-Miller is a native New Yorker. He earned his Bachelors degree from the University of Oklahoma and his MBA from Southern Methodist University.
