The Business Council to host its Annual Meeting at The Sagamore Resort

ALBANY, NY (09/17/2012)(readMedia)-- The Business Council will be holding its Annual Meeting from Sept. 19 - 21 at The Sagamore Resort on Lake George.

The meeting will focus on The Business Council's 2013 legislative priorities, which include working with the governor and legislature to provide mandate relief to local governments and repealing anti-growth taxes to bring private sector jobs growth to New York.

On Thursday morning, Sept. 20, The Business Council will release new data from The Business Council Annual Member Survey.

The Public Policy Institute of New York State, Inc., the research arm of The Business Council, will release its annual update on economic data entitled Unique New York.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a number of keynote and special guest speakers from business and state government leadership positions. Guests will enjoy remarks from the following highly-distinguished individuals:

• Lieutenant Governor Robert Duffy;

• U.S. Chamber President Thomas Donohue;

• Empire State Development Corporation President and CEO, Kenneth Adams;

• Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Corning Incorporated, Kirk Gregg;

• Pro-growth legislative panel featuring New York State Senators Jack M. Martins and David J. Valesky as well as Assembly members Jane L. Corwin and Dennis H. Gabryzcak;
