The College of New Rochelle Hosts Lunafest

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (10/07/2011)(readMedia)-- The Women's Studies Committee of the School of Arts & Sciences at The College of New Rochelle (CNR) will host a two-day film festival on Thursday & Friday, October 20 & 21, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Nine short films, diverse in style and content, and done by, for, and about women, will be shown.

All proceeds from LUNAFEST films at CNR will go to The Breast Cancer Fund (TBCF), a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the environmental causes of breast cancer and My Sisters' Place, New York, (MSP) which, for more than 34 years, has worked to end violence in intimate relationships and combat the effects of domestic violence and human trafficking on survivors and children throughout Westchester County.
