Traffic Approaching Pa. Turnpike's Valley Forge Toll Plaza to be Stopped Early Sunday Morning

The fifteen minute stoppage at 3 a.m. on March 6 is necessary to allow repair of a power-line.

HARRISBURG, PA (03/04/2011)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission alerts motorists that all traffic getting on or off the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the Valley Forge Interchange (#326) will be stopped for approximately 15 minutes at 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 6. The stoppage is needed to allow an electric-utility company to make emergency repairs to an overhead power line above the toll plaza. Motorists traveling in the area Sunday morning should be alert for stopped and slow traffic.

The temporary shutdown will likely cause a backlog of traffic onto the mainline turnpike as well as the Schuylkill Expressway and Route 202 near the toll plaza.
