SCHENECTADY, NY (02/22/2010)(readMedia)-- Transfinder today announced that the company plans to hold its first National Client Conference from Thursday, July 8 through Saturday, July 10 at the Saratoga Hilton in Saratoga Springs, New York. Keynote speakers include Mike Martin, Executive Director of the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT), which is headquartered in Albany.
Designed as a professional development experience for school district transportation officials who use Transfinder software, the conference has more than 30 classroom and hands-on computer lab sessions. Conference participants also have the opportunity to be certified on Transfinder's routing and planning software.
To help school districts defray the cost of attendance, Transfinder held a geographic lottery to award scholarships to school district clients from across the country. Today the company announced scholarship awards to 23 clients from 18 states. In addition, Transfinder awarded special Presidential Scholarships to members of its Advisory Board, bringing the total to 30 and representing 20 states.
Antonio Civitella said, "We believe this conference will provide not only a substantial professional development experience for our clients, it also offers a fantastic networking opportunity for them to exchange ideas and best practices in school transportation. To help those who want to attend and are facing financial restraints, we are offering a series of programs besides the scholarships to help defray the cost of attending."
Civitella added, "With clients expected from most of the 47 states which we serve, we are giving our attendees a glimpse of a brand new feature of our routing software, which we will release next year. I know they will be very excited about it, so we are concluding the conference on Saturday with its unveiling."
Attendance is expected to reach about 150 to 200 attendees from close to 47 states.
