Alumni citations are awarded to those who have distinguished themselves in their profession or community service, or have brought honor to St. Lawrence through their professional or volunteer work. Hall was one of four distinguished alumni receiving recognition from St. Lawrence President William Fox.

Throughout the past decade of Hall's leadership, Emma has undergone dramatic transformation and most recently completed the largest campaign at a girls' school anywhere - $75 million. In 2014 the school will celebrate its Bicentennial making it the oldest non-denominational girls' school in the country, an astounding achievement that heralds hope, strength, leadership, and pride.

Hall's vision and leadership were the driving force behind Emma Willard School being the founding sponsor of AUDACIA. The mission of AUDACIA is to leverage Emma's national expertise in girls' education and leadership development on behalf of the global movement. The two-day forum will be held September 26–28, 2011 at Credit Suisse headquarters on One Madison Avenue. Global philanthropists, education and human development experts, country, business and religious leaders will gather to find solutions to the violence, poverty, and cultural beliefs that prevent more than 90 million girls from going to school.
