Tucson native presents community-based research at conference

WALLA WALLA, WA (03/06/2012)(readMedia)-- Adam Delgado of Tucson recently presented his research at a press conference at Whitman College on Thursday, Feb. 16.

Delgado was one of fifteen students participating in a research course at Whitman College called "The State of the State for Washington Latinos." Students in this course conducted academic and community-based research in one of five different areas related to the relationship between Walla Walla Latinos and their surrounding community.

His project looked into how effective the ELL program is in Walla Walla Public Schools.

Delgado, the son of Michael and Cynthia Delgado, is a graduate of Salpointe Catholic High School. He is currently a senior politics major at Whitman.
