NEW STANTON, PA (10/26/2010)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission announced today that it has agreed to permit the E-ZPass Group to use the Express E-ZPass lanes on Turnpike 43 to test the next generation of electronic toll collection equipment and technology.
The closure will include the Express EZ-Pass lanes on Turnpike 43 in Fayette County, between Exits 54 and Exit 48. The closure will begin on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 and will last through January, 2011
Protective Services Inc. has been contracted to establish a Maintenance, Protection and Traffic (MTA) pattern that along with portable message boards will direct Express Lane traffic over to the conventional E-ZPass lanes on the right side of the Expressway.
None of the on or off ramps between exits 54 and 48 will be effected.
