Talk commercial rent control, pandemic relief, + small biz protection

QUEENS, NY (04/17/2021) (readMedia)-- On Sunday, Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer, a candidate for Queens Borough President, and Aleda Gagarin, a candidate for City Council District 29, will be visiting small businesses in Forest Hills on a walking tour. They will hear from small business owners and talk about commercial rent control, pandemic relief, and job protection.

Van Bramer is the only candidate running for Queens Borough President who co-sponsored both of these long-standing small business protection bills- Small Business Jobs Survival Act and Commercial Rent Control in the New York City Council. Van Bramer is also the only candidate for Queens Borough President to reject real estate money, uplift small businesses, and put communities at the center of the land use process.
