Van Bramer and Rana Abdelhamid Team Up For Small Biz Walk in Long Island City

Talk commercial rent control, pandemic relief, + small biz protection

QUEENS, NY (04/30/2021) (readMedia)-- On Saturday, Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer, a candidate for Queens Borough President, and Rana Abdelhamid, a candidate for Congress (NY-12), will be visiting small businesses in Long Island City on a walking tour. They will hear from small business owners and talk about commercial rent control, pandemic relief, and job protection. He has previously hosted three small business walks with John Choe in Flushing, Jen Gutierrez and Juan Ardila in Ridgewood, and Aleda Gagarin in Forest Hills.

Van Bramer is the only candidate running for Queens Borough President who co-sponsored both long-standing small business protection bills- Small Business Jobs Survival Act and Commercial Rent Control in the New York City Council. Van Bramer is also the only candidate for Queens Borough President to reject real estate money, uplift small businesses, and put communities at the center of the land use process.
