POTSDAM, NY (06/05/2018) Clarkson University alumnus W. Ashley Twining '82, '83 of Alpharetta, Ga., has been elected to the University's board of trustees. He will serve on the Finance & Budget and Facilities committees.
Twining is President of the Viking-Cives Group at Cives Corporation. The group manufactures municipal truck equipment, and snow and ice removal equipment. Over the years, he has enjoyed a successful career at the Cives Corporation, holding positions such as President & General Manager of Cives Steel Company (Mid-Atlantic Division in Winchester, Va.) and Cives Corporation Vice President.
A native northern New Yorker, he was raised and educated in the St. Lawrence and Jefferson County regions. He received a bachelor of science degree in industrial distribution in 1982 from Clarkson, and in 1983 he was awarded a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Clarkson.
When he's not working, Twining spends time with his family and friends, playing golf and enjoying the outdoors. He resides in Alpharetta, Ga., and frequently returns to northern New York.
