ALBANY, NY (06/28/2012)(readMedia)-- WAMC's The Roundtable will broadcast live from Barrington Stage Company's Mainstage Theatre stage in Pittsfield, MA from 9 AM to noon on Friday, June 29th.
Roundtable host, Joe Donahue, and WAMC's President and CEO, Dr. Alan Chartock, will speak with guests from Barrington Stage including Artistic Director, Julianne Boyd, actors Jeff McCarthy, Lizbeth MacKay, Debra Jo Rupp, Brad Oscar, Joanna Glushak, and acclaimed playwright, Mark St. Germain. Mark St. Germain's new play, Dr. Ruth, All The Way, (starring Debra Jo Rupp in the title role) is currently running on Barrington Stage's St. Germain Stage (formerly Stage 2). The woman herself, Dr. Ruth, will be in town and will also join Joe and Alan for the broadcast.
The Roundtable will fill out this exciting show by speaking with the Mayor of Pittsfield, Daniel Binachi, and representatives from Herman Melville's Arrowhead, and The Berkshire Museum.
"It's hard to know what aspect of the show is most exciting," says Donahue. "Checking in with our various friends in Pittsfield; and speaking with world-class actors, directors, and playwrights. We are thrilled to be able to bring our show to Barrington Stage."
