Walsh University is pleased to announce the induction of new members into the Sigma Beta Delta Business Honor Society in the DeVille School of Business at Walsh University. Acceptance into Sigma Beta Delta is by invitation only. It is open to the students at the main Walsh University as well as students in the School of Professional Studies and MBA Candidates. Candidates for bachelor's and master's degrees who rank in the upper 20% of their class at the time of invitation to membership may be inducted into membership following completion of at least one-half of the degree program in which they are enrolled. Undergraduates may be inducted as early as their junior year. The society was created in 1994 to provide an opportunity for schools of business similar to Walsh to recognize students who have demonstrated scholastic excellence in their business studies. Sigma Beta Delta is the international honor society for students in business, management, and administration and serves institutions which offer baccalaureate and graduate degrees in business, management, and administration. The creation of Sigma Beta Delta follows a 200-year tradition of honoring scholastic achievement in higher education that began with the establishment of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest society founded in 1776 at the College of William and Mary and honors scholastic achievement in the liberal arts and sciences. The following students were part of a group of 36 students inducted on March 28, 2014: To view these students click here: http://walsh.meritpages.com/achievements/Walsh-University-Inducts-36-Students-into-Sigma-Beta-Delta-Business-Honor-Society/21864
