NEW YORK, NY (02/26/2020) (readMedia)-- On Friday, adult survivors of sexual assault, including Ambra Battilana-Gutierrez, Marissa Hoechstetter, Evelyn Yang and Alison Turkos, will join Safe Horizon, lawmakers, and other advocates in support of the Adult Survivors Act (ASA): legislation that would provide a one year look back window for any survivor (18+) of sexual abuse to sue his/her abuser in civil court, even if the statute of limitations has expired.
The ASA was introduced into the New York State legislature in October by Senator Brad Hoylman and Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal.
