Command Sgt. Maj. Jeff Sima Honored for Service with 1144th Transportation Motor Transport Battalion

DELAVAN, IL (12/12/2016)(readMedia)-- Command Sgt. Maj. Jeff Sima of Worth, Illinois, was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal during a military ceremony in Delavan, Illinois, Dec. 9.

The Meritorious Service Medal is a military award presented to members of the United States Armed Forces who distinguished themselves by outstanding meritorious achievement or service to the United States. Sima was awarded the medal for his service as the Delavan-based 1144th Transportation Motor Transport Battalion's senior enlisted leader and command sergeant major for more than two years.

Sima has more than 26 years in the military, including an overseas deployment from 2010 to 2011.
