2025 Iowa State Fair Corndog Kickoff Benefit Auction "Stirs Up" Fundraising Success

DES MOINES, IA (07/14/2025) (readMedia)-- The Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation cooked up significant fundraising success at the 2025 Corndog Kickoff Benefit Auction and Fair Food Grazing Party. The July 12 "Stir It Up" event raised a total of $889,713 toward the renovation and preservation of the historic Iowa State Fairgrounds.

More than 2,000 Iowa State Fair supporters gathered for a night of food and fun in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building to raise money for various projects around the Fairgrounds. The Blue Ribbon Foundation auctioned off 31 live and 316 silent auction packages for totals of $335,500 and $121,784, respectively. Patron contributions totaled $381,300.

The Blue Ribbon Foundation encourages the public to attend this year's Iowa State Fair, August 7-17. As you explore the Fair, please enjoy the most recent improvements to the Fairgrounds including window and restroom renovations in the Horse Barn, construction of a new inclusive Variety Star Playground in the Fun Forest and the creation of the Ron and Bev Shivers Family Plaza, which will feature new seating and restrooms.

Iowa State Fair advance admission tickets can be purchased online at www.iowastatefair.org and can be printed at home without fees before August 7. Tickets can be ordered online and mailed with a fee. Adult and child advance admission tickets are also available at participating Iowa Hy-Vee and Fareway stores (while supplies last).
