ACEC/PA Statement on Representatives Hanna and Frankel's Introduction of Transportation Funding Legislation

HARRISBURG, PA (01/06/2012)(readMedia)-- ACEC/PA Executive Vice President Eric G. Madden today issued the following statement on the introduction of new transportation funding legislation by State Representatives Mike Hanna (D-Clinton, Centre) and Dan Frankel (D-Allegheny).

"ACEC/PA applauds the leadership of Representatives Mike Hanna and Dan Frankel. The issue of repairing our deteriorating infrastructure is still very much before us. This effort, in conjunction with the legislation introduced in the Senate by Senator Jake Corman, makes this a truly bi-cameral solution.

Following the recommendations of the Transportation Funding Advisory Commission, at long last, provides Pennsylvanians with a true long-term, comprehensive funding plan that enhances our safety, bolsters our economy and improves our overall quality of life. We encourage the Governor and other members of the General Assembly to support these legislative efforts to bring more jobs and economic competitiveness to Pennsylvania from around the country and abroad."
