AL National Guard 1670th Transportation Company to deploy Soldiers

You are invited to attend the deployment ceremony for the 1670th Transportation Company from Brantly and Clayton, AL. The unit will have a departure ceremony in Eufaula at the Eufaula Community Center, 530 Lake Drive, Eufaula, AL 36027, at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016.

The company will deploy approximately 160 Alabama National Guard Soldiers to Kuwait, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The soldiers of the 1670th Transportation Company will provide transport for heavy equipment in their area of operations. The unit will undergo additional training at a mobilization station before deploying overseas.

Local officials, as well as Alabama National Guard leadership will attend the ceremony to send off the soldiers of the 1670th Transportation Company. The general public is invited and encouraged to attend to show their support for the soldiers and their families.

The Alabama National Guard has called more than 22,000 personnel to active duty since 9/11 and remains a top contributor among the nation's National Guard organizations.
