March Coordinator Wes Shockley said, “Donald Trump owes it to all Americans to provide us with a transparent and corruption-free government and on this democratic priority he is failing. He needs to release his taxes. On nearly every issue, Donald Trump has failed to be transparent; he’s failed to be a supporter of equality and fairness; he’s failed to be a President for the people. Donald Trump is a failure, that’s unlikely to change – but the least he could do is be transparent and honest about his motives for these abhorrent policies, and that starts with releasing his taxes.”
Other simultaneous marches are taking place in New York State in Albany, Binghamton, Bethpage Buffalo, Syracuse , as well as in an additional 42 states across the country and in 6 international locations.
An ABC/Washington Post poll found that nearly three in four Americans (74 percent) agree that Donald Trump should release his tax returns, including a majority of Republicans (53 percent). Two in three Americans are concerned that Donald Trump is putting his own interests above the national interest. Releasing his taxes would address important questions about Trump’s links to Russia, sources of income and debt, as well as his ties to other governments, banks, and businesses.
