Alabama National Guard Counterdrug Task Force Supporting DEA Drug Takeback

MONTGOMERY, AL (04/27/2018) (readMedia)-- The Alabama National Guard Joint Counterdrug Task Force is providing support to the Drug Enforcement Administration during their National Drug Takeback Day on April 28, 2018, in partnership with our coalition and law enforcement partners. Authorized personnel on-site will be accepting expired, unneeded or unwanted pharmaceuticals for secure and environmentally safe disposal to help prevent accidental or excessive use. Guard counterdrug personnel have assisted the DEA in the delivery of over 500 boxes, 500 bags and 100 posters to locations state wide. These items will be used to advertise, receive, store and ship the drugs gathered at each location.
