MONTGOMERY, AL (03/22/2011)(readMedia)-- The Alabama Army National Guard's 1156th Military Police Detachment (Criminal Investigation Division) out of Clanton recently returned from an active duty deployment in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn.

The 1156th deployed some agents to Washington, D.C., in 2003, but had not deployed the unit in the current war until this deployment. The 1156th deployed to conduct general crimes investigation.

The small criminal investigations unit returned to Fort Hood last week and flew to their homes of record after undergoing out-processing.
