Alabama National Guard to Have an Open House for the Newly Renovated Air National Guard 226th Combat Communications Group Facility

Montgomery, AL (03/16/2016)-- The Alabama National Guard is having an open house for the newly renovated Air National Guard 226th Combat Communications Group facility to allow civilian and other military component partners the opportunity to view the facility and collaborate on common areas. Invited guests include the Alabama National Guard senior leadership, Maxwell Air Force Base service members and civilian business partners. The 226th CCG facility was renovated last year so the unit will showcase it and also celebrate the recently awarded Air Force Outstanding Unit Award that it received along with the 187th Fighter Wing, also in Montgomery and the 117th Air Refueling Wing in Birmingham.

Col. Gary W. Kirk, the commander, invites the media to also come view the facility and find out what the 226th CCG does in both its state and federal missions to support the citizens of Alabama and the Nation. This event is by invitation only.
