Montgomery, AL (03/06/2017) -- The Alabama National Guard 22nd Recruiting and Retention Battalion in collaboration with Alabama Army National Guard units and the Alabama Department of Education will conduct Citizen Soldier Career Expositions at two locations this week. These will be one day events at each location and 22nd Recruiting and Retention Battalion recruiters will be present along with local unit personnel and equipment to showcase their capabilities and answer any questions that high school students may have about a Soldiers job. The first event will be held at the North East Alabama Ag Center in Rainsville, Alabama on March 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the second event will be held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on March 9 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Area high school students will attend the expositions to explore career opportunities in the Alabama Army National Guard. This event is not open to the general public and is only for the invited high school students in the area of each event and local city and government officials. We would like to take these opportunities to invite media outlets to attend and see what the Alabama National Guard has to offer in the way of careers, benefits and how we support the citizens of Alabama in their time of need.
