Alabama National Guard's Aviation Support Battalion returns home after deployment

Members of the Alabama Army National Guard's 1204th Aviation Support Battalion, B Company, will be returning from a year long deployment to Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan and Afghanistan.

A homecoming ceremony for the unit will be held at the Army Aviation Support Facility #2 in Birmingham, Thursday August 16, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. The facility is located on the Air National Guard Base at 5700 East Lake Blvd, Birmingham, AL.

The 1204th deployed approximately 150 members to conduct aviation maintenance and logistics support to the 29th Combat Aviation Brigade in support of Operations New Dawn and Spartan Shield.
