Albany Bike EXPO Gears Up to Promote Cycling in and Around the Capital Region
EXPO Partially Funded by Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau Foundation Hospitality Grant
ALBANY, NY (05/03/2013)(readMedia)-- The Albany Bicycle Coalition, together with the New York Bicycling Coalition, will hold the third annual Albany Bike EXPO to celebrate and promote cycling in the City of Albany and greater Capital District. The event is free and open to the public.
WHO: | Albany Bicycle Coalition, New York Bicycling Coalition, leadership from the Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau, community leaders, casual riders and competitive cyclists are coming together for this event. |
WHAT: | The Albany Bicycle Coalition, together with the New York Bicycling Coalition, will hold the third annual Albany Bike EXPO to celebrate and promote cycling in the City of Albany and greater Capital District. The EXPO will feature a series of “rolling classroom” bicycle safety and skills rides for all ages and instruction on performing a bicycle safety checks. Bike shops, bike clubs and advocacy organizations will be in attendance. The event is free and open to the public. The EXPO is partially funded by an Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau Foundation Hospitality Grant. The Foundation Hospitality Grants are supporting programs that will help build and sustain Albany County tourism destinations, attractions, events and other tourism-related activities. The grants encourage collaboration between nonprofit organizations, community groups, and hospitality businesses – further extending the economic impact of tourism and business.
