Winter Games Memories & Memorabilia Event at High Peaks Resort THIS Friday
LAKE PLACID, NY (01/15/2014)(readMedia)-- The public is invited to a free event to see and share memories and memorabilia on Friday, January 17th at High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid. This once-every-four-years event will bring together the people, prizes and products from the 1932 and 1980 Winter Games. Come celebrate our region's rich history and traditions! This festival-style event will feature something for everyone from the collector to the curious onlooker including:
• Olympic historians, notable collectors, museum curators and committee planners from the 1980 Winter Games are confirmed to attend
• Show and tell your stories and collectables to the live audience and TV audiences, too!
• A public screening of a rare promotional film for the 1980 Winter Games in Lake Placid
• Antiques appraisers on hand to discuss your collectables
• Dinner and drink specials all night at Dancing Bears Restaurant including a replica 1932 dinner menu
• And we still have a few surprises up our sleeve, too!
