Albany Center Gallery Artists Follow the Footsteps of Picasso

ALBANY, NY (03/09/2012)(readMedia)-- Starting today local artists representing the Albany Center Gallery (ACG) will participate in the Fountain Art Fair from March 9-11, 2012 in New York City. The exhibit will take place at the 69th Regiment Army, an iconic city landmark and site of the legendary 1913 Armory Show, which featured such artists as Matisse, Van Gogh, Picasso, and Seurat among many others. One of 50 national and international galleries participating, ACG will be recognized for the artistic ability and quality of work their artists have strived to exhibit.

"Today our artists are walking in the footsteps of master artists who attended this same show 99 years ago," explained Tony Iadicicco, Creative Director of Albany Center Gallery. "It's amazing for our local art community to be in a high profile event on an international level on display with so many different galleries," added Iadicicco. "It raises the brands of both the city of Albany, and the gallery, it shows that we can step up to the next level. In addition, we were also voted best gallery in Metroland. This kind of exposure allows people to recognize that we have talented and capable artists here in Albany."

Local artists representing the Capital Region at the Fountain Art Fair include: Joe Allard, Michael Cunningham, Chip Fasciana, Harold Gubnitsky, Tony Iadicicco, Willie Marlowe, Fernando Orellana, Dorothea Osborn, S. Roberts, Alex Waters and Sarah Wawrzynowski.
