Harrisburg, PA - The American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania (ACEC/PA) is proud to announce the release of the application for the 2016 Eric J. Gennuso and LeRoy D. (Bud) Loy, Jr. Scholarship Program.
ACEC/PA member firms offer engineering expertise in a wide range of disciplines. More importantly, as the sole association in Pennsylvania devoted to the business profession of engineering, ACEC/PA is dedicated to serving the needs of our communities both in our work and in enhancing the educational experience of future engineers.
To assist in meeting this commitment, the "Eric J. Gennuso and LeRoy D. (Bud) Loy, Jr. Scholarship Program" was created in 2014 for college sophomores and juniors majoring in either an engineering discipline or environmental science.
Sean Henderson, ACEC/PA President, said: "Both Donald V. Gennuso (father of Eric) and LeRoy D. (Bud) Loy have made outstanding contributions to the consulting engineering industry and we are pleased to be able to present this scholarship to deserving students who will carry on the tradition of excellence that has already become synonymous with this award."
This year, ACEC/PA will be offering at least two $5,000 scholarships, with the possibility of more.
2015 winners include:
Mark Bachman, a Civil Engineering student at Penn State University
Ethan Miller, a Civil Engineering student at Penn State University

"It is an honor to have received the 2014 ACEC\PA scholarship. I am grateful for the assistance this scholarship has provided. This fall, the ACEC\PA scholarship helped me cover tuition for an engineering study abroad program in Nantes, France. I sincerely appreciate the generosity of this scholarship." ~ Phillip Graybill
"Receiving the 2014 ACEC Scholarship has allowed me to put all my focus on studying and learning engineering concepts without the anxiety and pressures of affording college tuition. ACEC is an incredible organization who values generosity in making it possible for students like me to achieve their goals and realize their dreams." ~ Benjamin Grimme
