American Red Cross Hosts “Community that Cares” Blood Drive
Residents Urged to Give Blood to Show They Care by Boosting Regional Blood Supplies

The American Red Cross New York-Penn Blood Services Region will host a special “Community That Cares” blood drive Wednesday, June 18, Woodstock Rescue Squad, 226 Tinker Street, Woodstock, from 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. “A Community That Cares” blood drive is a Red Cross initiative, which provides the opportunity for various community groups to come together for a common, larger blood drive.
All presenting donors will be eligible to enter a random drawing to win one of four $250.00 gas cards. The drawing will be held throughout the Region on Friday, July 11. To register, presenting donors are asked to visit www.pointsforpints.org.
All current and new donors are strongly urged to call 1-800-GIVE LIFE (1-800-448-3543) or visit donatebloodnow.org to schedule an appointment. Blood donors must be at least 17-years-old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. Sixteen-year-olds may donate blood provided they bring an original signed an Informed Parental Consent for a 16-Year-Old to Donate Whole Blood to the blood drive.
