Announcement of the 2012 Inductees into the New York State Writers Hall of Fame

NEW YORK, NY (01/09/2012)(readMedia)-- The NYS Writers Hall of Fame was established in conjunction with the Empire State Center for the Book and the Empire State Book Festival to highlight the rich literary heritage of New York State and to recognize the legacy of individual New York State writers.

Steve Forbes will be joined by Sandra Lee in announcing this year's inductees along with other invited guests. Previous living inductees include John Ashbery, Robert Caro, Mary Gordon, and Paula Fox. For a complete list of past inductees, visit www.empirestatebook.org .

The Empire State Center for the Book is the New York State affiliate of the Library of Congress's national Center for the Book and is administered by the New York Library Association.
