NEW YORK, NY (10/22/2019) (readMedia)-- Just four days before Early Voting begins, Attorney General Letitia James will join the Let NY Vote Coalition to rally for the first-ever Get Out the Early Vote in Washington Square Park. Early Voting runs Saturday October 26th through November 3rd.
In January, New York joined 37 other states to establish Early Voting, giving voters nine days ahead of Election Day to cast their ballots. The 2019 New York State budget included $14.7 million for electronic poll-books and $10 million for counties to implement early voting; almost exactly the combined $25 million the Let NY Vote coalition had asked for.
