Blue Ribbon Foundation Hosts Online Auction to Benefit Historic Iowa State Fairgrounds

DES MOINES, IA (11/13/2024) (readMedia)-- From the very start, Fairgoers have cherished souvenirs from their visits to the iconic Iowa State Fair. The Blue Ribbon Foundation continues this tradition by offering a variety of souvenirs as part of our fundraising efforts. A non-profit organization, the Blue Ribbon Foundation is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the historic Iowa State Fairgrounds.
The auction features a variety of collectible items that celebrate the Iowa State Fair's rich history. Highlights include the Foundation's cherished annual lapel pins (dating back to 1993), seasonal ornaments, Isabel Bloom sculptures, vintage t-shirts, official staff-issued pins, and much more.
The auction will open for bidding on Thursday, November 14, at 10 AM and will close on Sunday, November 17, at 8 PM. Fair fans and collectors can preview photos and descriptions of each item on our auction website: Souvenir.GiveSmart.com. To participate, register as a bidder, providing your contact information and a valid credit card. Winning bidders will be given instructions on how to pick up their items or arrange for shipping.
Since 1993, the Blue Ribbon Foundation has raised more than $200 million, funding more than 40 building restoration and improvement projects across the historic Fairgrounds. Every contribution helps sustain the legacy of the Iowa State Fair for generations to come.
