SPRINGFIELD, IL (11/09/2017) (readMedia)-- Lionel Gonzalez of Bolingbrook, Illinois, with Joint Force Headquarters based in Springfield, Illinois, was promoted to the rank of major during a ceremony at Camp Lincoln, Springfield, Illinois, Nov. 5. Gonzalez was joined by his wife, Natalie, and sons, Issac, 6, and Ethan,1, along with fellow servicemembers. Gonzalez's sons pinned him with his new rank. Gonzalez serves as a deputy division chief of the Operations and Training Office (G3) for the Illinois Army National Guard.
