ELGIN, IL (09/21/2018) (readMedia)-- Illinois Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Pearlie Aaron of Broadview, Illinois, was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for exceptional service while assigned to North Riverside's 405th Brigade Support Battalion.

The medal was awarded on Sept. 8 at the battalion's annual military ball at the Holiday Inn in Elgin, Illinois. Aaron received the award for her outstanding leadership and dedication while assigned as the battalion's senior supply sergeant from April 2014 until February 2018.
