Brooklyn Park Resident Tommy Watson to Speak at Concordia University, St. Paul Commencement

ST. PAUL, MN (05/08/2012)(readMedia)-- Tommy Watson, an award-winning author and resident of Brooklyn Park, is serving as the Concordia University, St. Paul commencement speaker for the undergraduate cohort programs commencement ceremony May 12 at the Gangelhoff Center on the Concordia campus.

Former principal of Brooklyn Park's Palmer Lake Elementary, Watson is one of the nation's leading voices in the areas of resilience and setting high expectations. Known as "Dr. Inspiration", he speaks to thousands of educators, community and business leaders, and policy makers each year.

Married with two daughters and two sons, Watson holds a bachelor's degree in Housing and Community Development and a master's degree in Educational Administration. He is currently working on his Doctor of Education in Leadership degree.
