Summary: Three Victorian women embark on a journey into an unknown continent, Terra Incognita, which we soon recognize as our recent twentieth century past. In a kaleidoscopic adventure through time and space, the intrepid explorers respond to ordinary objects as exotic artifacts. TV dinners, Burma Shave, Ovaltine, women in pants, Richard Nixon- each new curiosity is confronted with undimmed optimism. On the Verge was originally developed in collaboration with a variety of Twin Cities' theatres. Combining verbal wit with wild, vaudevillian humor, this absurdist comedy offers a quirky but poignant sense of hope to all of us in our own journeys toward an uncertain future. Concordia University's theatre department is performing at the Westlund Black Box Theatre Nov. 19-21 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 22 at 2 p.m.
