LATHAM, NY (07/07/2010)(readMedia)-- Registration is open for the second annual COINS 3 Peaks Challenge, being held on September 18-19, 2010. This team building charitable event for the Construction and Service Industry takes participants across the Northeast USA to hike 3 mountains within 24 hours: Whiteface Mountain in New York, Mount Monadnock in New Hampshire, and Mount Mansfield in Vermont.
Each participating team of 6 people (4 hikers and 2 drivers) commits to a donation of $5,000 or more to the COINS Foundation (www.coinsfoundation.org), a registered 501(c)3 corporation. The COINS Foundation seeks to improve impoverished communities through contributing to the built environment, Building Schools, Hospitals and Homes. The Construction and Service Industry has already raised nearly $100,000 to support the COINS Foundation's mission through COINS Challenge events in 2008 and 2009.
For 2010, 25% of the funds raised by COINS 3 Peaks Challenge will be committed to rebuilding Haiti. The COINS Foundation has committed to build 50 homes in Haiti with funds raised by the Construction Industry through events such as the COINS 3 Peaks Challenge.
The costs of running the COINS 3 Peaks Challenge are fully sponsored by Construction Industry Solutions (Shaker) Corporation, so 100% of the funds raised goes directly to the COINS Foundation.
Construction or service companies and industry suppliers that are interested in participating in the COINS 3 Peaks Challenge should visit http://www.coins3peakschallenge.com/usa/ for more information or to register.
